Identity Preserved

Identity Preserved (IP) refers to the maintenance of a product's specific traits or characteristics through growing, production and marketing channels. AOSCA's Identity Preserved programs are designed to assure this identity.

Several AOSCA IP programs have been specifically developed to address transgenic crops and these provide a "systems approach" to assure that certain products meet tolerance levels of genetic material derived from biotechnology.

The Alfalfa Seed Stewardship Program has been inactive for several years. Upon request, the CCIA will work with growers that may be interested in this program. Please contact Executive Director John Palmer at jcpalmer@ucdavis.edu for more information.
