Organic Certification Fees
Fee Schedule (effective January 1, 2008)
- An annual application fee of $150 must accompany every Organic Farm or Organic Process/Handling Plan, or renewal. This is a nonrefundable fee.
- Inspection fees will be charged at a rate of $50/hr. portal to portal, plus expenses (such as food and lodging). Transportation costs within California are covered by this fee. Out-of-state transportation costs (such as airline tickets, car rental, etc.) are additional.
- An applicant that withdraws its application shall be liable for the cost of services provided up to the time of withdrawal of the application.
- Annual certification fees are based on the gross value of the organic products produced or processed. See table below to find the fee:
