Organic Certification Fees

Fee Schedule (effective January 1, 2008)

  1. An annual application fee of $150 must accompany every Organic Farm or Organic Process/Handling Plan, or renewal.   This is a nonrefundable fee.

  2. Inspection fees will be charged at a rate of $50/hr. portal to portal, plus expenses (such as food and lodging).  Transportation costs within California are covered by this fee. Out-of-state transportation costs (such as airline tickets, car rental, etc.) are additional.

  3. An applicant that withdraws its application shall be liable for the cost of services provided up to the time of withdrawal of the application.

  4. Annual certification fees are based on the gross value of the organic products produced or processed. See table below to find the fee:
