Staff Updates

The California Crop Improvement Association announces several staffing updates as the organization moves through a period of transition.

After 20 years of dedicated service to CCIA, Timothy Blank has stepped down from his role. Throughout his tenure, Timothy provided strong leadership and made significant contributions to CCIA, the seed industry, and California agriculture. We sincerely thank him for his many years of service and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

CCIA is pleased to announce that Katy Soden has been appointed Interim Executive Director effective April 1, 2026. Katy has been with CCIA for 15 years and has been a dedicated and valued member of the organization throughout that time. She looks forward to continuing to work closely with CCIA customers and supporting the California seed industry during this transition.

CCIA is also pleased to welcome Emily Richter to the organization. Emily joins CCIA as a Field Researcher and will be working with customers and staff throughout California. We are excited to have Emily join the team and look forward to the experience and enthusiasm she brings to CCIA.

We appreciate the continued support of our customers and partners as CCIA moves forward.
